Shoulder - Subacromial Decompression

The shoulder is the most flexible joint in the body, making it prone to instability and injury. A procedure used for the treatment of shoulder bursitis (inflammation of the bursa) is called subacromial decompression. This is an arthroscopic procedure in which the inflamed bursa is removed.
