Knee - Meniscectomy

An injury to the cartilage that protects the knee joints, the meniscus, may need surgical intervention. Depending upon the location and extent of the tear, the torn section may be trimmed, sewn together, or the entire meniscus may be removed. This surgery is generally an arthroscopic procedure.
