Hand - Closed Reduction Percutaneous Pinning

Rather than an incision to repair a broken finger, a finger fracture may be treated with a closed reduction percutaneous pinning. This involves manipulation of the bone back into proper position and the insertion of wires through the skin into the bones to hold them in place. Fractures, dislocations, and some tendon injuries can be treated with this method.
