Carpal tunnel release surgery

During carpal tunnel release surgery, the transverse carpal ligament is cut. This relieves the symptoms of carpal tunnel syndrome by releasing pressure on the median nerve.

The surgery can be done through an open procedure or a minimally invasive procedure. The minimally invasive procedure involves 1-2 very small incisions and results in faster healing.
